Welcome to the Coles Group 2004 Christmas Recruitment Drive.
Coles Group, Australia’s largest retailer, commenced in June, a major national recruitment drive to find 15,000 people to work in casual positions for most of our famous brands.
You must be well presented, confident, enthusiastic and friendly, and available to work on a casual basis, including weekends and extended trade. Positions available from September 2004 through to end of January 2005, at varying commencement dates. Please refer to “General Information pertaining to each brand” below for more specific information regarding vacancies.

Eligibility to work in Australia
It is important that candidates complete all details pertaining to working rights in Australia. Candidates eligibility to work legally in Australia will be checked with the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA). An “Authority to Obtain Details of Work rights Status from DIMIA” will confirm candidate approval to check these details.
Rates of pay
Coles Group Limited, and Brands pay competitive retail rates. Junior rates may apply for anyone aged 20 years and under.
How do I apply?
Step 1 - Online Application Form
All interested applicants, including current candidates in the system, will need to complete the online application form (click on the ‘Apply’ link below). Please be sure to complete all details as any omissions may delay your progress.
If you are successful with your application you will be invited by email to complete an online assessment.
Step 2 - Online Assessment
The Coles Group Recruitment process includes a range of assessments to ensure that applicants are the "best" match for the role, including online assessment, group interview, and line manager interview. Step 3 - Group Interview Sessions
If you are successful through the online application and assessment you will be notified via email/SMS to attend a group interview which will take approximately one hour. If you are in a country area you may be contacted to complete a telephone interview if group interviews are not being held in those areas. If invited to attend a group information interview you will need to bring the following with you:
