The WesSAFE team provides a valuable service to key operating divisions of Wesfarmers.  This team is responsible for managing workers compensation self-insurance and providing claims and injury management services across the organisation.

We have a fabulous opportunity for a team oriented pro-active individual to join WesSAFE, reporting to the Injury Services Manager.

Working within the State WesSAFE Team you will be primarily responsible for providing injury management support for team members and businesses through the provision of technical advice, coaching line managers and the utilisation of external professional networks.  You will develop strong relationships with Service Providers, Wesfarmers Ltd Businesses, Injury Management Advisors, Claims Officers, Team Members and Safety Advisors.  You will effectively manage an injury management portfolio within legislative, self-insurance and Wesfarmers Ltd requirements whilst achieving cost effective outcomes; facilitate injury management training where appropriate; conduct regular case reviews and implement injury management strategies to attain optimal outcome.

It is essential you possess tertiary qualification, preferably in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nursing or related health science field.  Furthermore, you will have extensive experience assisting injured individuals with assessing injury management options.  Sound knowledge of relevant state workers compensation legislation and experience developing & implementing injury management strategies will be highly desirable.  With excellent communication skills, you will be a skilled negotiator capable of building strong relationships with key stakeholders.  You will also have well-developed time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and timeframes.
